Wellhead & Xmas Tree Equipment Delivered to North African End User — Successful Installation and Service — JLD Energy

The end user required a complete wellhead and Christmas tree package for six new production wells in a remote desert field. The equipment needed to handle high H₂S content (sour service) with a working pressure of 5,000 PSI while meeting API 6A PSL 2 and PR2 performance requirements. Delivery timeline was compressed to 14 weeks due to rig schedule commitments. The customer also required third-party inspection by BV (Bureau Veritas) prior to shipment — a process that typically adds 2–3 weeks to standard lead time.

JLD Energy's engineering team conducted a detailed specification review and proposed JL-22 / JL-29 casing heads and JL-TCM tubing heads with NACE MR-01-75 compliant materials (Class DD). The Christmas tree assembly was configured with Model FC manual gate valves and Model DX check valves for sour service trim. Full documentation package including material test reports (MTRs), hydrostatic test certificates, NDE reports, and weld procedures was prepared for BV inspection. All six wellhead stacks were manufactured, tested, and certified within 12 weeks — two weeks ahead of the customer's deadline. BV inspection was completed on-site at JLD's facility with zero non-conformances identified.

Результат

The equipment was shipped on schedule and installed in the end user's wellsite in Q2 2025. Customer feedback was very satisfactory — zero installation issues, all connections pressure-tested to 7,500 PSI (1.5× working pressure) on first attempt without any seal leaks. Following the successful installation, the customer placed a repeat order for an additional eight wellhead packages. This project established JLD Energy as an approved supplier in the North African market.
