A leading Russian oilfield services company was expanding their fracturing and cementing fleet with 8 new stimulation spreads. Each spread required approximately 300 hammer unions across the flow manifold — totaling over 2,400 unions needed for the complete fleet expansion. The customer required: (a) staged delivery over 6 months aligned with their rig-up schedule, (b) full interchangeability with existing US-manufactured hammer unions already in their inventory, (c) certification for Arctic temperature service (-50°C), and (d) color-coded nuts per their internal safety color scheme. Budget constraints required factory-direct pricing with volume discounts.

JLD Energy secured the contract with a factory-direct pricing structure across the full Fig series: Fig 1002 (10,000 PSI CWP) for cementing spreads and Fig 1502 (15,000 PSI CWP) for high-pressure fracturing spreads. Total order quantity: 2,550 hammer unions (1,800 × Fig 1002, 750 × Fig 1502) with corresponding seal ring kits. All unions were manufactured from AISI 4130 Q&T forged steel with nitrided seal surfaces for Arctic low-temperature service. Each union was serial-numbered, hydrostatically tested, and certified with full material traceability (EN 10204 3.1). Color coding was customized per the customer's scheme. Delivery was staged in 4 batches over 6 months to match the fleet rollout schedule.

Interchangeability testing at the customer's yard confirmed full compatibility with their existing US-manufactured inventory — every Fig 1502 nut from JLD Energy mated correctly with existing competitor subs.
